Let's talk about Flash Sentry...Again.

Yeah, I know! "Kaizer, you've talked about Flash Sentry half billion times! You even made a deep thought about him! When are you gonna talk about something else!" Well hypothetical voice in my head. You are indeed right. I have talked about this nerd many, many times(and I'm not stopping anytime soon) But, this time...I want to talk about the fandom and Flash.

I'm pretty sure we have all hear the complaints about him by now, so I won't repeat myself. But, one thing I almost never hear is this; if you all have such a huge problem with how he is portrayed in canon...why not do something about it?

We've taken the rest of the cast and have done amazing(and not so amazing) thing with them. so, why do so few people avoid taking up the chance to do something great with Flash?

(Note: I refuse to take the phrase" We shouldn't have it! It's the writer's job!" as a valid reason.) 

Another thing I have been thinking about since brought up in the after mentioned Deep Thought, if Flash Sentry was Flare Warden(his R63 self) but still had the same amount of screen time he does now...would he still receive all this hate?(To further add on to this, I have seen people commenting on art that has Flare in it, saying they like her more than Flash)

So, what do you guys think? Why do so few people avoid Flash instead of using all that potential he has? And if Flash were female, do you think he would get treated better? Let me know what you think.

EDIT: Forgot to mention this. This journal is, more or less, an admission for me. As of now, I am DONE talking about what Flash Sentry is. There is not point in it anymore. I will now only talk about what he could be. Thank you and good bye.
